Application

Used for dyeing:

cotton and viscose fibres in melange and semiwool cloths production;
cotton yarn, knitted fabrics and cloths;
cellulose fibres;
cotton fibre into khaki color in combination with Sulphur Black.

Appearance, properties

Dark-brown paste. Insoluble in water, adsorbable by cellulose fibres from alkaline solutions as leuco compounds which color fibres upon oxidation. Coloring can be carried out in intermittent and continuous-action apparatus. Soluble in sodium sulphide and partially soluble in caustic soda solution.
